As discussed in Module 2, you have certain rights and responsibilities regarding accommodations. Now that you know what these are, it is time to learn about what accommodations you can receive and how to put them into place.
At post-secondary institutions, accommodations are provided through offices that support student accommodations and access services. They are most often referred to as either Accessibility Services or Disability Service Centres.
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Describe and evaluate the types of accommodation available.
- Evaluate the type of accommodation that will work best for you.
- Describe the process for accessing accommodations.
- Implement a plan of action to access or arrange for accommodations.
