Self-Care Ideas for Relieving Stress

We have provided some links below for you to see some different methods of mindfulness practices and meditation for self-care that may be useful. Feel free to explore other options available to you, either online or in your community to support your well-being.

Wellness suggestions:

  • Exercise – 30-60 minutes most days of the week for healthy living.
  • Diaphragmatic breathing – also referred to as abdominal or deep breathing that involves taking smooth, slow and regular breaths.

  • Mindfulness-based stress reduction – focuses on the present moment by purposefully paying attention and being aware of your surroundings, your emotions, your thoughts and how your body feels.

These tips for well-being can be used throughout your entire life as you manage the stress of a career, relationships, etc.
